The theme for this year is Battle of Kashyyyk! We will have troopers and Sith Lords fighting forward through the wet lands of the forests of Kashyyyk. All the while firing lasers, twirling lightsabers and pressing the enemy back. We will have lightsaber battles between the jedi and the sith, and to make the battle more engaging, we will have 4 fog machines moving with us. Also, for this year, the organizers have flooded the Chingay route with ankle deep water to add to the visual effects with light and smoke.
This year our contingent is open to not only 501st Legion but also Star Wars fans in the community. The only requirement is that you have a good enough looking costume of ANY Star Wars denizen....good guy or bad guy character.
If you don't have a costume but still want to be involved, we have some extra costumes we can lend...like stormtrooper, ARC Trooper, Royal Guard, etc. We also have need for minders to assist the troopers and for handlers to handle the fog machines. If you do have a costume, please PM me a photo of it and we can see if we can get you in with it.
