I have the old one. I grabbed the DVDs as soon as I saw it. I had been a fan of the old BG and was grumbling about the changes in the new ones. Not many wanted to watch the old one.

I was actually contemplating buying the old series. But it was a little expensive for me. Is it worth the money? I had fond memories of the series as a kid and even saw the BG display at Universal Studios before. Loved it then. Not sure if I really want to sully the memory of the old series by re-watching it now and realising how "crap" it was....

I just saw the old BSG series available for rent at Laser Flair at Bukit Panjang Plaza. The old telemovie and the new BSG premier Code 1 is available at approx $50.00 each.

Hey WELCOME to the forum, SoloFalcon ! :)

I just watched the pilot episode of the new Battlestar Galactica with the Star Trek people ( see article : Meanwhile .... in another galaxy and time.... ;) ) and I must say that I went away very impressed and wanting very much to see the rest of the series.

The scripting was very tight , deliciously dark at times, never shying away from relevent sociopolitical issues , the special effects very good, the ships very cool, and the cast was extremely attractive .

I'm definitely buying the whole series on DVD ! :D

Oh yeah .... they did use a lot of drums , which gave those space scenes a very different feel , very different from other space battle scenes .

Oh and by the way, I really love your avatar ! Cool !

I went to buy the soundtrack as soon as I finished watching the pilot some time ago. Never regretted it.

Forget Boomer, what about No.6  ! Seriously, the cast and story are so good. Let's hope that Singapore brings it to TV here.

more of silver spar, but only bcos of its emblem. don't you think they all kinda look like a cross between the x-wing & luke's skyhopper
