Re: ponds
Serious hah?! I rushed there the moment I knew of it. It was 9pm when I reached TRU Forum that Wed night! My wife shook her head repeatedly!!!Vano wrote:I went down this thursday and the staff said they are actually not for sale yet. Kena tipu, damn! BUT its worth it. I nearly went home as I was not able to find it. I went in for a second look & found them! It was not located at the main Starwars figurines hangar bay. It's in the glass showcases & u have to take the carded price tag & bring it to the cashier. There was non left so I asked, the guy wrote it on a paper & I brought it to the cashier where he took out a small HASBRO box & asked me to choose the two that I wanted!!! He stated that collectors would like to choose the best carded figure in pristine condition. Most of them have like dog ears at the corners. I took 2 which looked perfect! heh
I went to look for them on Thursday at Suntec TRU. There were none & there were also no more Starwars figurines on sale except R2 & Ob1 1st issue in a metal basket selling for S$10 each!

come to think of it... y bother to rush down... just pay a 'small' premium to sculpers and have them deliver the hoarded items (pre-selected excellent card somemore) to csc (provided one stays near). there could be great savings in terms of travel expenses (and anxiety of searching)

viewtopic.php?t=3335
for those who missed cmdr ponds, the figure is also available at one of the (usual) csc shop at $22

thanks for the update... masteryoyo shall give cmdr ponds a miss... patience masteryoyo must. let's see how many of such figures scalpers can absorb and hold. a test of patience, endurance, willpower... and resources.
when the demand stops, the scalping stops. fellow collectors, hold your horses (and wallets) and prepare for the long siege. someday (perhaps, a year or so), all these so-called exclusives, htf figures would be flooding the sg and interantional ebay market...
