Hey guys, just inquiring for my friend. Can there be a lightsaber wielding TK? The 501st list of approved costumes doesn't include them..but they are on "Jedi Knight 2: Jedi outcast" and "Dark Empire 2"...
He's pretty mad 'bout joining Sith and TK together...may be a nice idea..'bout how will the crowd react? Is it okay for entry into 501st or should he register his TK and wield his saber during informal troopings only?
By the way, they are called Force sensitive stormtroopers...
Here's a reference pic.

There were also some in the short story by Karen Travis, 'Two Edged Sword'.
He can join the 501st as a regular TK. There are no 'force-sensitive stormtroopers' in the 501st. As for trooping in armor and carrying a light saber, I'd say its up to him but only for the informal, non-canon events.

He'll have a hard time explaining what is he doing with Darth Vader's saber when he's out there trooping..

Lotsa quirky ideas, this one...
He's kinda interested in this community but haven't start lurking 'round here...I'll change that..

People are generally not familiar with the expanded universe variants and characters, so the questions such as "Who are you?" and "What are you supposed to be?" will come.

Ok.. My friend changed his mind after reading this post..Cmdr. Deviss for now.. EU variants, esp. Force sensitive stormtroopers. I haven't even heard of them 'til me friend told me...But the early drafts for stormtroopers show them having lightsabers, maybe that's where he got his inspiration

Stormtrooper wielding sabers are called Shadowtroopers in Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. They can use the Force also

Rather, they first appeared to me in Jedi Outcast, the first one.
And yeah, guess you guys have already figured out who Sev is referring to...

Yeah, I still think this idea is pretty novel. If I wasn't going for a TD for my second informal non 501st-entry armour a shadowtrooper or something to that extent might've worked.

Hmm... Right, must've mixed up my letters... What's the Biker Scout one again?
If TK would stand for 'Trooper [s]Knight[/s] gee-I-dunno', TD would stand for 'Trooper Desert', and that makes sense. Guess 'Trooper Biker' or something would be TB then.
