Hello....welcome to the forum...glad to see more members coming in after the STCC and the Clone Wars toy launch..

Talk to some of the 501st members here, they can hook you up with an armor in no time and still tell you what to do with it...

Hi dr34m and welcome to starwars.sg! Perhaps you could leave an intro at Jedi or Sith as Sev-like mentioned.

Nice collection by the way. Do let us know if you are keen to get hold of a suit of armor and join the legion.

Yeah i saw Awwee's thread about selling his sand trooper outfit so pmed him liao, see how much it is haha. maybe can work out a installment plan

from what i see, the blaster rifle will be hard to hunt down XD

dr34m, whats your height? Awwee is one of our shorter troopers so need to make sure the armor can fit you. He's about 1.65m approx.

You're actually the perfect height to be a stormtrooper/sandtrooper. Our troopers' heights range from 1.72-1.78m....usually the height diff isn't noticable when your in armor. in the movies, the actors playing the stormtroopers were between 1.75-1.8m...although Wiki puts them at 1.83m.

I'll advise you to try the armor on first and make sure there isn't too much black gap betweek the thigh and shin pieces. Don't forget, as a sandtrooper, you will also need to get hold of a movie-accurate backpack.

When he replies me with the price and if the deals fall thru (have to persuade my parents to havily subsidise me lol), I'll be sure to consult him as to where to source for the parts.

Sorry for a noob question but how much would an average set of armour set me back? I was offered a set of stormie outfit couple years back at about 1k+ have the price changed since? XD

It depends really. In general, prices have gone down.

If you're talking about a brand new suit in KIT form...meaning you have to work on it yourself before you can wear it, it ranges from USD$600 (FX armor) to about USD$750 (Movie accurate). These are just the plastic parts - all hard armor pieces and helmet. FX armor is not movie accurate but is used by troopers that are larger(fatter) in size who cant fit into movie accurate armor.

Its alot more expensive if you order a suit that is already assembled and strapped up for you - could easily range beyond USD$1.2k.

For something like what Awwee is offering, SGD$800-$850 would be a fair price to pay. It includes all the armor parts and helmet, is already assembled and since its a Sandtrooper, comes with weathring already. Its cheaper because its 2nd hand. Let's see what offer he makes you.

wow getting chairs from beach road and bowls to build a sandpack O.O guess i'll just look and see any prebuilt ones for sale haha. my university starting so won't have time to build one myself
