1) In 2005, the Star Wars saga was finally complete with EPIII bridging the original trilogy and the prequels. At the same time, our sg_starwars mailing list was reborn with the launch of our very own Starwars.sg website and forum.
2) The same year, we had much joy bringing you live reports from the heart of the Art of Star Wars (AOSW) exhibition amidst the Gala Premiere and Official opening. And we were there with you throughout the run of the exhibition, right until the crating of AOSW in April 2006.
3) Keeping the Star Wars flame burning, we have been bringing you the Starwars.sg Roadshows at CSC where many new friends have joined us, and existing members have gotten to know each other better. And not to forget, we now have our very own Starwars.sg T-shirt.
4) As 2006 draws to a close, we look forward to 2007, which is a huge year for Star Wars - the 30th Anniversary of the first Star Wars movie "A New Hope".
5) To celebrate our journey thus far, and as we look forward to many more great things to come, we welcome all of you to join us for a year-end gathering - A New Hope for the New Year. The programme line-up will include mass-participation games and quiz, a costuming contest for the kids, and of course... a chance to get to know each other better during the buffet dinner.

1. Is the food Halal?
Yes.
2. Is there alcohol at the event?
No.
3. How to get there by public transport?
Nearest MRT Station is Bedok MRT. Bus Services serving the area will be updated here soon.
4. Do we need to come in costumes?
No need to. But you are certainly most welcome to dress up if you wish. We will be having a costuming contest for the kids though, so those of you bringing your younglings may want to consider having them turn up as mini-clones, Jedi, ...etc
5. Is there a Lucky Draw? *updated on 20 Dec*
Good News! We will be conducting Lucky Draws during the gathering, with prizes sponsored by the Starwars.sg Team. An Early Bird Draw will be conducted at 6.45pm and we will end off the evening with a Finale Lucky Draw. **Winner must be present to collect prize when name is drawn, otherwise another winner will be drawn.
Each person will be allocated 1 chance in the lucky draw
Additional chances will be awarded as follows:
+1 if you register and pay by Wednesday 13 December midnight
+1 if you wear any Star Wars T-shirt to the gathering
+1 if you wear the Starwars.sg T-shirt (this is over and above the +1 for being in any Star Wars T-shirt)

Prizes for the Lucky Draws and Games, include Kotobukiya Sandtrooper, Hasbro 501st Stormtrooper Action Figure, Jedi Temple Assault Battle Pack... and more.
