General Grievious 12" Action Figure
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but did anyone else get the General Grievious 12" Action Figure? And did you open it?
It is the crappiest figure ever produce. Cannot stand, cannot hold the lightsabers, arms come off easily, flimsy and bad joints. I am so disappointed. It's worst for me because my son actually liked General Grievious and I bought this for him to play with.
Imagine my heartbreak when he asked me "how come General Grievious cannot hold the lightsabers" and looked at me with very sad eyes.
I am very very disappointed. Very.

I suspected it after a friend of mine complained about the same thing.
So I bought my 7 year-old son Luke the FORCE BATTLERS grievious instead. Great action features, tough & has good play value. All the sabers fit nicely..not to mentioned that all 4 sabres has detachable blades. Include grappling hook gun too.
Saw a few more available at TRU Tampines & Forum. Go get it....I'm sure your son will enjoy it as much as Luke

Gandalf , that is the saddest story I have heard so far on this board. I feel terrible, especially since it involves a child . How can we make it up to your son ? I'm serious .... is there anything I can do, personally, to make up for his disappointment ?

I know! So can you imagine the delight when father and son became fans of the Saga? To share in the joys of toy collecting together and fighting with each other with lightsabers and then to have this travesty visited upon them?danchia wrote: I feel terrible, especially since it involves a child .
I was crushed and heartbroken the night that we bought the toy home only to see the crap that it was.
Nothing much anyone else here can do anything about it I suppose. The fault lies really with shody workmanship and a total lack of respect / regard for the fans, collectors and children who pay for these pple's salary and bonuses in the first place.

the one i got from u?xjedi wrote:well. i suspect those 12" figures are made to stay in the box!!! the luke skywalker i bought recently can hardly stand ... same for the stormtrooper!!!

i got pissed at his curved boots and his face i got rid of him

Anyway gandalf, u might wanna try this :
blog gg's hands wif hairdryer
and press it down, makes his hands clench tighter, in turn making it easier to hold the sabers
GG cant stand up?
have u tried his bending position during the duel wif obi on utapau? i had problems balancing my 3 3/4 gg , but when i tried that pose, no problem already. his buttock weight balances out the figure
After all these years, I still love Clones

Wow .... the NECA Gandalf is quite amazing ....

I too can hardly wait for Sideshow Collectibles to produce their 12" figures. I hope the sculpt is much better than the plasticky Hasbro ones.
I managed to get the Sideshow Luke , which is nice, but cannot be played with because he is soooooo fragile .

Hopefully the new Sideshow 12" figures will have the same great sculpts but are much more playable because they are being sold more as action figures and not as collectible statuettes like the Sideshow Luke ....
I can hardly wait !

I think this is useful for u GanFett
From rebelscum
I used the clear rubber bands that came with the figure to make him hold the sabers. They work great. As for standing, my Grievous stood on his own for 1 1/2 months, then fell for no reason. His knee and foot joints are now too loose for him to stand up even though he's never been played with. I had to use a metal doll stand to support him. This actually works better because now I can put him in an action pose like running instead of just having him stand upright
