i too think the workmanship of tim is superb..and i must said this is master grade work...especially every piece of armour is scratched built and ya with labor of love

eeeerrrr...If I remember correctly Tim bought a PVC/styrene kit off someone on TDH...

But other then that everything else is top notch craftsmanship.

Okay, if we want to be nit-picky, it's stated on the first few posts on this thread. I acquirred FP's ROTJ V2 armor kit in styrene, and personally measured, trimmed/cut/dremel/file, sand down, prime and layered painted said armor.

FYI, PVC is the worst material you can ask for in armor builds.

Yeah I know you did all that work Tim, but you didn't 'scratch build' the armor like Don said.

Scratch building means you bought flat PVC sheets from the shop, cut, shaped (or vac formed) them, put in all the dents and details yourself, before painting and finishing it.

Maybe my understanding of 'scratch build' is different...

Taking into consideration most of the posters here are not into prop building terminology, it's safe to say that Don used the term scratch building loosely. If fact, if you read most, if not all of Don's post, alot of prop terms are used loosely. Hell, some of the terms I use don't even exist in prop building terminology.

In this case, scratch build means base/basic formed product, 'built' into what it is right now.

After all, my posts clearly stated and pictured how the armor came to me, and I never stated that I scratchbuilt the armor. The armor is FP's and I'm proud to own Chris's hard work. Him being a bud has got nothing to do with it! LOL!

Relax dude, the focus here is the work that went into the 'build', not the glamour or fame that came with supposedly 'creating' the armor.

Bro, your costumes are pretty cool too! I remember how impressed I was with your foam and tape home-made Hellgate Guardian armor! And you did it in just a few days! Thats impressive too...in a different way.
