the mighty jabba is right... what greater joy is there where one can pursue a hobby and yet spread joy to those less fortunate. kudos to starwars.sg and 501st sg volunteers who have sacrificed both personal time and resources to raise fun for these little kids.
on a separate note, our small nation welcomed the birth of the first live sized R2-D2! The droid is awesome. Its one thing to see a picture but quite another to see a R2 unit with movement, sounds and lights! Another first for the red dot! hurray!!!

i think its the responsibility of the exhibitor to indicate clearly that the $$ paid goes to charity, I was told i had to pay $5 to take a photo. Nothing about the causes.renzaijh wrote:@ torque6
The $5/$7 fee for photos is for a charitable cause. The 501st Legion Singapore Garrison is supporting the Make A Wish Foundation for STGCC. Not a cent goes to our pockets to set the record straight.

Within our forum, we have announced our fund-raising programmes to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation®torque6 wrote:i think its the responsibility of the exhibitor to indicate clearly that the $$ paid goes to charity, I was told i had to pay $5 to take a photo. Nothing about the causes.

At our booth, on all posters and flyers, we have indicated the fund-raising cause with Make-A-Wish as the beneficiary. The Make-A-Wish banners, balloons and volunteers in Make-A-Wish T-shirts also explain this to visitors of our photo-booth.
You might have met a roving patrol away from our booth, and had a miscomm when the volunteer conveyed the donation request to you. Nonetheless, even for our roving patrols, all donations go straight into Make-A-Wish marked donation tins that accompany each patrol.
Hope that clears things up, and hope you still managed to have a good memorable experience at STGCC. Should have visited our booth

If you require further clarification or have further feedback, you may send me a PM.

To the organisers, I must applaud the efforts of the organisers and the costumers and the 501st Legion and EVERYONE involved in it! I thought it was an excellent cause and a worthy effort. We were happy to oblige and happy with the results as well! So its win win all the way and I hope that you guys did well and had enough coffers to make a sizeable donation!
A bit more publicity I am sure would have gone a much longer way! Was it featured in the news? If not, it should have been!!
GOOD JOB U'all!!!!!

XD may be around 4 halls. I think that will be a hard thing to do. :O This year the owners told me that it was too costly to take up a booth for the event. -___-Gordonator wrote:how big do u want sis? this year is big and spacious enough to walk. unlike last year. O_O
Last year agree was hard to walk around.
I feel like there is less comic. Too much on toys x_x
