Edit: Stormtrooper Armour Help
Edit: Stormtrooper Armour Help
Anyone letting a spare set or perhaps have retired as a Stormtrooper? Am interested in acquiring a assembled and trimmed complete set of 501st standard Tk armor (blaster, helmet, boots and all) . If you are or know where I can get a set, let me know with a price so I can have a goal to save up to.
Am inspired to join up after seeing the awesome costumes ytd at the fanboy screening, thinking of liquidating my SW collection to get a suit.

I know what you mean..its like theres a pile everywhere but just thinking of stock taking and posting on ebay makes me tired already
thinking maybe like can rent a booth at CSC one sunday and cart everything there haha.
Been wanting to go trooping for a long time, looks totally fun haha. Time to trade in toys for a suit

trooping is totally fun i assure u.
but are u 18 or above? the legion enforces strict rules on age requirement.
i'm afraid a fully assembled armour with everything will be hard to come by. building your own set is one of the fun things of 501st costuming. it's certainly satisfying when u wear the armour u build yourself.
armour will cost u around $1000-$1100, other stuffs which u can get yourself like boots, dive suit, blaster, gloves etc will cost u $300 - $400.
do check out the sticky thread here on building a stormtrooper armour.

Yeah I understand, have been looking around and the readily available ones are all in kit form I have absolute no knowledge in this field. It would be like asking a Gamorrean guard to solve the DNA sequence for the rapid aging problem of clonetroopers.
So I guess I'll just wait for someone to retire to become a clonetrooper and give up their set. By then, I should have enough to purchase it. Just putting up the notice to make sure if there is a set in Singapore, it will not pass by me haha.
Can't imagine much things more fun than walking around in a TK armor in public haha.
p.s I am currently 22 years old, height around 1.72m

There's always the Kaminoans to turn to before going to the Gamorrean guards.. Some of us are quite adept at putting a TK together..dr34m wrote:Yeah I understand, have been looking around and the readily available ones are all in kit form I have absolute no knowledge in this field. From what I know, none of us gave up on our TKs when we get our hands on other costume. Besides, the old costume may not fit you at all. So you best bet will be to buy one for yourself..

dude, never get the FX. the helmet is not 501st standard. armour might be too big as well depending on how big u are.dr34m wrote:Thanks and you're welcome!
Think instead of waiting, I'll go order a fx kit first now. Anyone know where I can find a movie accurate helmet? Since the fx one isn't good enough and I'm sure my Donpost one is out of question haha
since u passed the age limit, all u need is to save up now and let us know when u are ready. we will do the rest.
no need to worry about assembling, we will always be there to help u out. it's very fun.
