Sotongs and the bears (Mon calamaris and Ewoks)

Post by e3lipse » Sat Sep 17, 2005 11:09 pm

I just finished watching ROTJ again , i had 3 things to ponder but while in the toliet i forgot one ... so theres 2 left

Firstly , why does the rebellion have so many sotongs and why are much of the rebel ships mon cal cruisers? Even during a scene in Home One when Ackbar was briefing on DS2, the back was sotongs sotongs and sotongs with only mon mothma being the only other species in that scene

I wonder if the mon cals played a heavy part in the rebellion?? hmmm

Secondly, are ewoks gay...
Wicket was touching han, the really black ewok was touching chewie...
Seems like lucas made ewoks a bit too friendly a creature
After all these years, I still love Clones

Well... the reason why so many of the space cruisers are mon calamarian in origin is because they originally are pleasure/transport craft but turned into battlecruisers only after the Rebel Alliance managed to free a big bunch of calamari slaves from the Empire.

So glad to see another DOS gamer here ... I played the X-Wing DOS too, more than 10 years ago, and yes it was stated in the X-Wing story book for the game which was sold separately.

I remember this is one of the early games i hacked, b'cos there is no way to complete the tunnel mission to destroy death star (did anyone complete the final mission?) ... Include the additional missions pack, I hacked the max rank, medals, and mission ribbons. 8) ... I even hack out a series of additional mission ribbons which are not even in existence!

After X-Wing, I also hacked the sister games - TIE Fighter DOS, and got the highest imperial guard rank - the Emperor's Hand or something like that.

It was stated in the novels? Opps...

Yup, x-wing was the only dos-based game I hung on to, until x-wing vs tie fighter came out.

Also, the Dark Saber Novel did mentioned why Ackbar became fleet admiral. Mainly because he was the dude who knew the Empire's most intimate secrets and fleet tactics while being a personal slave for Grand Moff Tarkin.

Yeah, admiral Ackbar was a slave to Grand Moff Tarkin, but then was rescued and freed by the rebels...You can guess what happened next.

Admiral Ackbar had the advantage of observing and learning battle strategy and tactics from the Imperial while working for them.

Are Mon Calamari amphibians? How they survive in deep space without water?

Amphibians mean they can get out of the water for periods of time. I remember reading something about mist in their rooms.

True, true. There was a Mon Cal Padawan in one of the SW novels (when Obi-Wan was still a Padawan himself) I read, and they mentioned that her room had to be kept misty.
