Camera Equipment
After 3 yrs, 3 sets of rechargable batteries and 9000 photos later, My canon Powershot gave up on me earlier this mth.
I notice there are quite a few digital SLR users here and WOuld like to get more advice frm u guys.
I would like to shift frm the prosumer range (my canon A80 powershot, minimal manual controls) to Digital SLRs. But i know too well its just too bulky and way expensive.
SO i wonder if theres any recomendation on whats the next camera i could get my hands on?
I like to take people, buildings, both indoors and outdoors.
Would like something not too bulky, but this is not the most impt deciding factor.
Would like a decent zoom, say 12X optical instead of hte teensy 3X...
Some more DOF (Depth of field) to play arnd with...

Get a semi-pro SLR. They're still in the 'prosumer' category but one up from what you have been using.
Here're some of my current favourite.
Canon PowerShot S3 IS

Canon EOS 30D Black 8.2 MP Digital Camera

FUJIFILM FinePix S9100

FUJIFILM S9000 Z

There're other brands and models but you get the idea.
I have been using one in this category for the last 2 years and eventhough its now waaaay obsolete I still have no complain about it.
