The Holiday Special is hilarious. In a twisted way

On a more serios note: I read somewhere that Mark Hamill could be wearing all that make-up to disguise the results of his car crash before principle photograpy on ESB began.

He had major major reconstructive surgery to his face.
Compare Ep 4 and 5. Big time alteration on his facial features.
Very sad indeed. Altered his career path too. Just compare his to Harrison's.
Facial fortune readers will attest to that.

Sad thing is George hates it so much it was aired only once in US. I would love to get a DVD of it; but reading this "[George] would be happy if every copy could be tracked down and burned..." says it all.

Luckily there exist a crappy res copy of it here: http://www.blueharvest.net/video/original.shtml. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did... cause some ppl actually want to forget they ever watched it

Thanks Freefly for the link. Hope I can view it. The technology I possess is kinda outmoded. Always missing some freaking plugins and the host servers do not have them anymore.
until next budget sensitive upgrade, I'll just carry-on @%$£@$£@$!%$%^&%$&%

ps. Sometimes when you start downloading it, nothing will appear until the download completes. I suggest leaving the internet connection on & wait until the video pops up

Ah ha ha ha. just as i've expected. CAnnot view it as Real media is required which for the moment my OS system-modem mode do not support. Until my next budget restraint upgrade & time allowance, I'll still carry on @^$%@$&*(*&*%^$*.

My cousin mailed me a copy...

...it plays on a normal dvd player. Let's just say that the further you are from the screen the better the image resolution. The sound quality is pretty good too.

The Boba Fett animation segment and the scenes taken from Ep 4 movie were the most enjoyable. The rest are...disturbing.

No worries there...

...the thing is long gone. GL ain't got nothing to worry about.
The content i.e. a grampa wookie fixated over a holo-vid of an alien exotic dancer, comedians in drag and so on was more disturbing than the quality.
The lengthy Boba Fett animation bit is definitely a gem for Fett fans.

US comic and fan conventions abound with "lost" TV specials
and similar stuff.

I found the 1978 Star Wars Christmas Special on youtube... Though I'm born in the 70s, I find this show very very draggy... But it can be a good costume reference... Enjoy!
