Outbound Flight

Post by Count Dooku » Fri Feb 24, 2006 10:22 pm

I just finished reading Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn. It was a very enjoyable read. Has anyone else had a look here? What did they think of it?

I have seen this hardcover book and had been checking up bookstores I can borrow but so far no luck. I would have purchased it if it had been a paperback, storage issue.

Too bad, I am unlikely to meet you anytime soon.

Outbound Flight rox!

yeh read it...brilliant! Bought it on the 3rd day it was released and I didn't regret my choice one bit. This book is for all Star Wars fans, young or old, Zahn-fan or not. Read it three times already, the magic and suspense never seems to fade away.

And according the theforce.net book release schedule, the Outbound Flight paperback won't be released till next year.....

Where have you brought it from?
Normally I won't buy the hardcovers but Timothy Zahn is to me a good read...

I was able to rent my copy of Outbound Flight from Sun Bookstore at Far East Plaza. Ended up paying $10 dollars to rent it, but it was worth it :D (A very enjoyable read)

hehe i found Jorus C'baoth to be a more captivating character than Thrawn. i dare say he's the second most interesting prequel era EU jedi, next to Quinlan Vos (and a very powerful though arrogant one to top it off), which in itself is a mean feat considering that this is his first appearance (aside frm his mad clone in zahn's trilogy) . definitely worth a second read simply b'cos of Jorus C'baoth's great character, if not for the story itself!

Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler

Eh Palpatine aka Darth Sidous planned the war/setted up the Jedi all because he knew the Yongzhann Vong is going to invade. The only way to stop them is to consolidate the core worlds under a single rule and built a miltary force strong enough to oppose the invaders.

Did anyone noticed this tit-bit?

Jorus C'baoth is too predictable... with his egoistic thinking that Jedi is meant to control the non-jedi.

There were some paragraphs that he address Anakin as Master Skywalker... and later on as padawan.

Car'das is a much more interesting character.
