Droid: "That was impressive."
Closing shot: "Roger, roger, roger, etc"

:? :x

Blasted idiotic battle droids. Hope the live action TV show even has half the brains behind the rebooted Battlestar Galactica series.

The battle droids may be a big minus for me but I sure am intrigued by that EMP-esque weapon.

Aw man. To think my parents wanted to cancel cable because "you kids never watch TV anyways". I'd watch if she hadn't canceled Cartoon Network.

But I thought EMP knocks out droids?

Eh? Now that you mention it, it does sound like a familiar melody. After listening to it a few times, I think the melody is the 'Cavalry Charge' bugle call as used in Apocalypse Now to sound off the helicopter attack:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHjWDCX1Bdw

(starts at 00:43, brilliant 18 minute clip btw, imagine those helicopters as Republic gunships and the G.Is as Clonetroopers in an impossibly delicious Clone Wars movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola)

Back to the topic, BUT knowledge that the 'roger, roger...' actually make a melody makes me shake my head even more.

The EMP thingy on the sepper ship.

Seems like a HUGE version of the DEMP 2

And do I see two IG-88s?

I recall during the arena battle in AOTC, there was some kind of 'energy' cannon deployed by the Geonosians:

(ard 1:40)

The one in the Clone Wars looks like an ion-cannon size of it.

I believe the one you mentioned about is a sonic pulse/wave weapon.

Isn't that the Sonic cannon thingy? Something similar to the sonic rifle that the Geonosians use on the individual level....

I can imagine a planetary sonic cannon...

Two episodes are out! Good visuals but pretty intense pacing though. Might work better if they tone down the BGM and slow things down a little. But overall they've nailed some of the main characters quite well, especially Anakin's and Asajj's. Still, its nothing as spectacular as what Dark Horse managed to achieve with their clone wars comics.
