Clone wars: who else is excited!
Well......there is nothing special about Opening Day as it's just the day the movie officially get screen all over Singapore.
The day is also some times "dampen" by the fact that the movie might have Sneak Preview Screenings on Wednesday Evening onwards (normal ticket price apply) tho' it might be the time for some cinemas to organize party or special activities.
What many of us look forward to is the PREMIERE done 1-4 days before the Opening Day (Aug 28th 2008). It is usually (99% of the time) done at night with starting time ranges from 7.30pm to 8.45pm and at a City-Area Cinema like Shaw Lido or The Cathay.
Some Premiere are by "Invitation Only" with tickets given out thru Sponsors' own Contest, Rewards Schemes, Workers or to Celebrities.
Some Premiere like TPM/AOTC/ROTS/James Bond can attended by anyone who can afford the "Charity" Tickets which will cost a bomb but is a very joyous occasion. A few like the one for Prince Caspian have more reasonble priced ticket but it's just a screening at 5 major cinemas with a few freebies and no before-screening activities.

"The Darkside of the force is a pathway to many abilities that some consider to be unnatural.....is it possible to learn those powers? YES, Not from a Jedi..."
OMG! Something else to look forward to in the movie, an Easter Egg for those who knows what it represented in real life:
R2-KT Appears In The Clone Wars Movie
R2-KT Appears In The Clone Wars Movie
From http://www.r2kt.com/
"R2-KT was created in 2005 by Jerry Greene, master droid builder, with the help of the R2 Builders Group. She was built in honor of one very brave little girl named Katie Johnson who had brain cancer.
It was Katie's wish to have a pink robot like R2-D2 from Star Wars, so Jerry and the R2 Builders Group worked very hard and created a one-of-a-kind droid named R2-KT (which sounds like R2-Katie).
R2-KT's Mission
R2-KT's mission is to entertain children, raise awareness of pediatric cancer, and raise money for such charities as Make-A-Wish and Children's Cancer Fund. Her allies include the 501st Legion Star Wars costuming club, Zig the Pig (mascot for the Children's Chance) and the Palmetto Richland Children's Hospital."
