Clonetroopers and Stormtroopers

OK.... I'm missing something here ....
How did the Clonetroopers in EPII and III become the Stormtroopers EP IV through VI ?
Was it explained in EPIII ?
And why are the Stormtroopers called Stormtroopers ?

Actually, I don't remember reading or hearing anything about the change but then again I haven't really been reading much about anything these days so that's neither here nor there but I do have one theory.
Remember how Luke wanted to join the academy? I think that after the clone wars, the troopers were no longer clones or replaced by clones when any one of them fell. They were actually a new army formed by volunteers and then some. Which probably prompted the creation of new uniforms and change of name cause - it would no longer be one size fits all and they are not clones anymore...

Few or none of the sotong storms are clones as the clones age too fast, you cant have 60-70 year olds fighting can you? haha
Maybe some became officers lor
Stormtroopers consist of citizens of planets under control by the Empire.
Theres no link i think
The only link is the armour's evolution

Actually, if you think about it - if the armies changed from the Clones to citizens, why would the Empire continue to use something that is a memory of the republic? Wouldn't they change the costume / armour a lot more to disassociate themselves from the Clone army / wars?
Unless they didn't have enough budget cause all the military budget went to the construction of the death star (I and II).

yup
clones are like way cool
i like them cuz their helmets are like the sweetest of all
they can be customised!!
no matter how u customise it , its never wrong, cuz theres all kinds of variations and any silly idea is deemed great
go paint a clone purple and call him Commander Windu , or paint it grey and call him Commander Adam
Its all fine, no right no wrong. Agree?

I hav been re-watching SW3 DVD ... the faces of the troopers are no longer just Jango Fett, but also other new faces in trooper armour uniforms as well ...
This may evidence that crones are slowly being replaced, hence it's renamed from cronetrooper to stormtrooper in SW4 ... just conjesture.

Actually Han Solo was a young imperial officer when he met and rescued Chewbacca from an Imperial jail. They formed a partnership and becase smugglers. The rest is history...
