A few of you saw this the first time round ... Well we're back and fully legion re-approved.

So here's what we've doing: A Donation request and a free Raffle! These idea are not connected and you don't have to to one to do participate in the other.

Please read through the info below as all the details are there, but the two big ones are:

Donation Page is here: http://support.shrinershospitals.org/si ... &pxfid=328
To get a free raffle ticket please e-mail me your legion ID, name and address.

All raffle requests need to be e-mailed, so we can send a ticket back - PMs will not be accepted - sorry.

Please feel free to link to this post on your own Garrison, Outpost, Detachment website. This is only open to 501st legion and Rebel Legion members, so if you do re-post please put it in a members only area, and please keep this off social media - thank-you.

And we and the children and Families touched by Shriners Children's Hospitals thank-you for your support, and any Questions please ask.

EDIT: Update - Please request your ticket at any time, but I'll be issuing tickets between 7 and 10 am (PST - Canada West Coast) daily, just so this doesn't threaten to take over my life.

Greetings Troopers and Rebels

This event is open to all active members of the of the 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion, no matter which side you’re on … The right side or the Rebel side ;). Regardless of our differences there is something both sides can agree on: Helping Kids Makes us Feel Great! Did Luke’s mum want the best for him – you bet! Did Vader’s mum tuck him in at night with a kiss – For sure …

We in the Special Operations Detachment of the 501st Legion have spent a lot of time putting together a fantastic event to help celebrate our 6th Anniversary and help kids at the same time.

What is it you ask … Well there are two separate parts titled appropriately: You give back and We Give Back ... The two ideas are not connected but we hope if you choose to join in one then you'll also join in the other as well.

You Give Back:
As it is our (the Special Operations Detachment) Anniversary coming up we've decided that instead of asking for more Star Wars Loot, we're asking for your help. We have partnered with Shriners Hospitals and set up a private donation page through them. Our goal is to raise $7000 or more for Shriners Hospitals for Children by the End of August; this would only be 1400 members donating $5 (Though larger donations are greatly appreciated). If you would like to join us in reaching this goal, please visit our donation page: http://support.shrinershospitals.org/si ... pxfid=3280
Through this page your donation goes directly to Shriners; so you can rest assured 100% of your donation is going to a good cause. Any amount is welcomed, and on behalf of Shiners and the Children you've helped, we thank you for your generosity and caring.

If you would like to know more about the work done by Shriners Hospitals for Children, in USA, Canada, Mexico and the Republic of Panama, please visit http://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.

And regardless of if you donate or not please link to this post on your local Garrison, Base, Outpost, Detachment, or Squad, as we'd like to get as much for the kids as possible – please post it in a Legion members only area.

Donation Page: http://support.shrinershospitals.org/si ... pxfid=3280

We Give Back:
And also to help celebrate the 6th Anniversary we would like to provide all members of the Rebel Legion and 501st legion with a chance to enter a free drawing with some awesome prizes. Yes, you heard us right, FREE. Free entry details are listed below. You don’t need to donate to get a ticket … but the kids and families in need really hope you do.

So There you have our two celebration events! A Shriners Hospitals for Children Charity Drive and a Free Prize Drawing, - Thank-you for help us make this a very memorable anniversary!
