What are the 501st standards for clone trooper armour?

Hey guys,
I'm new to costuming and decided to try building a clone trooper suit to join the local 501st Legion. I've looked around the forums and seen some references in the FAQ and from members about the 501st costuming standards, but nothing in detail.
So i'm just wondering, what exactly is considered acceptable? Are there only certain places we're supposed to get the armour kit / accessories from? Hope you could help a newbie out, wouldn't want to get the wrong stuff.
