redthamb,

The 501st Legion is a non-profit organization, so posting your request in this area would not be appropriate.... Good luck with your search!

Redthamb, I doubt any of us will be willing to lend/rent out our SW Costume to a stranger. :wink: And in reality, the amount of "Costumer" who hang out here is a LOT less than the actual amount in Singapore (ya, lots of "Lost" Jedis and Siths and Amidala in Singapore) so less chances too.

As for Armor, they are VERY expansive (FYI I'm still calculating the amount I'm spending on my Scout.....still got parts to buy..... :shock: ) so very unlikely any of us can rent it out to stranger. Even when lending it to friends, we're only willing for people we had known and met for quite some time and under our supervision (aka worn at same event we are attending).

But what you can do is check out any of the leading Costume Rental Shops in person for "Star Warish" costumes and "armor" costume NOW. Below are some address of shops I last remember carrying such costume. And FYI, cost of rental is about SGD80++ with at least SGD100 returnable deposit I think; haven't rented a costume in a long, long time.

If you got SGD200+ to spare and prefer to own the costume, can purchase them from Pan-In-The-Box/Costume Bay/Costume Bases

Chinatown Point

Be warned that the SW Costumes are not neccesary accurate or complete, tho' might be well-made and much better quality than those crappy Rubies Halloween Costumes.

Good luck! :)

Hi Haldir, Thanks.

It's true that every more accurate costume costs quite a bit as well as usually took the owners considerable assembly time, so we're usually reluctant to lend out our costumes... In fact, our costumes do get damaged after each use...

The lobangs that haldir provided are good ones... I would recommend rental if you don't foresee yourself wearing the costume beyond halloween... Good luck! :)

I went to Pan-In-The-Box Shop just now and apparently they do rent out a selection of their costumes which do include the SW Costumes.

Cost of Rental will be negotiate and depend on how many parts is rented out while the Returnable Deposit is about the Actual Cost of the Costume.
Eg:
Rental = SGD60
Actual Costume Pricetag = SGD120.

After that, the costume is sold at ~20% Off depending on its condition.....
