W00T! Now I want a boyfriend! HAHAHAHAHAHAA

For music... Leia's theme for the gal's entrance and the ceremony one for the exit, I would recommend. Y not get ur wife a Padme wedding gown too? :D
Years ago, I only have 2 waitors to help to cross 2 Hasbro light sabres when we marched in. Instead of the Wedding March Song, I replaced it with Star Wars theme.
Mine will be better MUAHAHAHHAHA. WIth Blue milk and muja fruit heeeee

It didn't feel kiddie. :) I think our friends found it kinda refreshing.

Good to know that I'm NOT the only hard core STAR WARS Fan who went ALL the way to a STAR WARS themed Wedding. Had mine back on 10 JUNE 2000. I had the Emperor's Arrival at the 2nd Death Star from ROTJ played when I entered the Ball Room followed by the Rebel's Massassi Base Throne Room theme from ANH played when my wife entered.

Here are some pics that I've managed to scan in and uploaded here for everyone to see :

One of the 2
Emperor's Royal Guards who escorted me after my "arrival",

(Note the Rebel Fleet Trooper behind flanking my wife, who was dressed as Princess Leia - Ceremonial Gown)

Close Up of one of the 2
Rebel Fleet Troopers who escorted my wife after the "Emperor" has walked in,

(OK we don't have Capricorn Armor Helmets back in the day, but managed to make pretty convincing ones by 2000 Standards using a Basket Ball  )

Entertainment provided by a certain Dark Lord of the Sith,

Image

we even have guests from Dagobah, like this tall member from Yoda's species,

Image

all this and much more even BEFORE I discovered about the 501st Legion Imperial Costuming club! :D

Chakster what year did you have yours? and of course please SHOW us your photos.

Thanks for the compliments "9". Glad you enjoyed looking at them. :D

Basically my entire STAR WARS themed Wedding consists of these main costumed characters (myself and my wifey included) from
THE GALACTIC EMPIRE and the REBEL ALLIANCE :

THE GALACTIC EMPIRE Image

1) The Emperor himself or Darth "Tux"

2) Darth Vader

3) 2 Emperor's Royal Guard or should I call them the Emperor's Sovereign Protectors (?) :)

(We actually had Boba Fett in the works but due to some unforseen last minute hitches where the Don Post Helmet did not arrive we had no choice but to "Execute Order 66" on this Mandalorrian Commando character . There was also plans to acquire a pair of Stormtrooper Armor Kits off eBay, but again due to costs and timing factors the Stormtrooper escorts were written off the Wedding March)

REBEL ALLIANCE Image

1) Princess Leia - modified Ceremonial Gown where after looking at the pics, more resembles the dress worn by Leia in this SW Expanded Universe novel, "The Courtship of Princess Leia"

Image

2) 2
Rebel Fleet Troopers as the escort of Honor for the Princess from the Royal House of Alderaan. :)

We also had guests coming in Jedi Robes and the Yoda-like character shown in my pic.

We handpicked the Music Score to create the STAR WARS-like ambience throughout the entire Ball Room. The music was played according to this sequence using the Amplifiers (turned up to the Max. ) affixed to the 4 Corners of the Ball Room :

1. The Emperor's Arrival from ROTJ

2. Massassi Throne Room and Rebel Awards Ceremony from ANH

3. Mos Eisley Cantine theme from ANH

4. Mos Espa Boonta Eve Pod Race theme from TPM

5. Duel of Fates from TPM

6. Tatooine Sunset theme from ANH

all classical works from John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra 8)

I actually have a few more scanned pics that I have not photoshopped them to enhance their images for presentation here in this forum. What I can confidently say is that the pics have well documented the sequential events of our STAR WARS themed Wedding. When I have more time on my hands I shall share them with you guys.

OK Chakster your turn and hope you locate your picture CD over this weekend.

I could try looking for that link your friend, Shawn posted for Mr. Brown (the famous Blogger who got his articles in TODAY suspended) to see after we saw him posting about our little mischief at the ROTS Sneak Preview over at Great World City. ;) But it's only a few small photos.

Hey, you could update your website and put a selection of the photos up.

Haldir, if you're referring to me and not Chakster, will gladly do that when I have more spare time on my hands, hopefully soon. Your patience is appreciated. :) :)

You're most welcome erase. I will be glad to share more of the scanned pics that documented the sequence of my STAR WARS themed wedding. Per my response to Haldir, I will gladly clean up some of these grainy pics and upload them into my PhotoBucket Album and share these with everyone here, hopefully soon. :)

BTW nice pics of you with Don and Fangirl2 trooping with our 501st Formosa Outpost comrades.

Errr.....I am refering to Shawn as I know he has a Geocities Website that had been ages since it was updated (and the only place to see some photos from the the FIRST Star Wars Costume Parade cum The Phantom Menace Movie Screaning in Singapore).

You could do the same too for yours if you have or planning to have a website. ;)

Haha... I think the last time I did anything to that site was in 2001.... Have to find time to right that situation...
