I had seen worse a few years back when an online friend who "accidentally" put on a bit of weight re-worn her Metal Bikini Leia at DC Comic Con. Luckily she herself confess she was getting too fat for that outfit after that day and started trying to loose some pounds.
Good thing your online friend has realised it and has taken corrective actions on her physique. It will be most embarassing indeed for her IF the straps of her Metal Bikini Leia costume was to *SNAP* whilst she is parading in front of everyone in the middle of an intensive photo session.  Think Janet Jackson and her INFAMOUS Wardrobe Malfunction episode and you'll know what I mean!

Hmmmm...thankfully haven't seen a really fat person doing Metal Bikini Leia.

You're right on. The only fat person in this 2nd Group pic has decided to be Yarna d'al Gargan (the 6 breasted belly dancer in Jabba's Palace from ROTJ).

Leia's Metal Bikini has indicated the name for each of these 11 Brave STAR WARS costumers who wore this glorious costume in Celebration III :

Front Row (from Left to Right) :
Christy (Yep she's the Hottie that kissed that lucky SOB), Tammy (NOT the infamous Tammy from Singapore :P), Janine, Dena and Lori

Back Row (from Left to Right) : Julie, Cheralyn, Mirax, Karen, Tracy, Leonie and Desiree.

From comic-con in US. When can we ever have a female volunteer to dress up in S'pore?

Leia's wearing the wrong boots, and Han looks like a photo journalist during the American Civil War period...

You're right on that. The pair of boots is more appropriate if she was wearing the SW Ep II AOTC Padme Battle of Geonosis White Costume. If I was her wardrobe Manager I would have advised this Slave Girl Leia costumer to swap this pair of boots for a pair of 6" Stilettos !!

Actually, wrong color too for Padme White Battlesuit (what it's called among Costumers) as those boots must be at the very least Ivory or pale cream (majority goes for White) with the Shin Guards a shade or 2 darker.

Ooooh! I'd love to do Padme too. My top three want-to-do costumes are:
- Blue Return-to-Naboo dress
- Pastel Naboo gown
- Black Fireplace Corset gown

:D :D :D

I guess...if I had the right body, I wouldn't mind wearing Leia's metal bikini if someone made it for me.

All that is gold does not glitter
