Joining Rebel Legion
Yub, yub! It'll be great if we can do it that way.
So all those Jedi who're still not registered with RL, what are you waiting for? Register NOW if you already got your photos at hand.
Anyway, you got any full-body photo of it so we can see how much more is needed to qualify?

But I understand from reading come comments made by those who choose to join 501st with their costume that 501st Entry Critia is more strict as the patterns on the Leather Tunic is a must.
It's better to have at least 2 people handing the Rebel Base here in case one is busy or have no internet connection etc. And that 2nd (or 3rd etc) person in charge best is not doing anything against one of the RL Charter; members we can still close one eye and hushhush about it but not for those in charge of something.

If you can spare the money, can always use a Wig for her Hair. I think can get a long one for around SGD50 from the Chinatown Wig Shop or less if outsource from elsewhere. But will need to maintain it well.Darsha Assant wrote:Hmm maybe I should clean up my leia ewok and try. Only thing missing so far is the leather ties at the end of the white 'undershirt' and the hair. Gotta wait till my hair grows more though.

Seems like it from the 501st Sith Lords Listing. She, apart from Emperor's Hand Mara Jade, ROTS Anakin (with Eyes and Scar I think) and a few others are those who can join either group as long as they fulfil the Critias of Entry.Darsha Assant wrote:Isn't visas a 501st char as well?

Pan-In-The-Box only carry "Obi-Wan" and "Anakin" costumes and accesories for the Jedi. Not accurate but seems to had gotten through the door of the Rebel Legion easily as they're well-made.
But if you want a other Jedi Outfit or of your own design and can't sew even with Commercial Patterns at hand, best bet is to get a regular tailor who is flexible and creative to make the costume for you. Not hard actually if you're normal shape.

This is great, guys!
I haven't been around here for awhile, and when I login I find THIS!!!
Glad that this is finally kicking off.
Haldir, you know you have my support, will help out in whatever way I can, even though my time is quite limited these days.
Hmmm, not sure if my Padme costume meets the requirements, but will submit anyways, and see if it's approved.
If not, then something can always be done to get approval... be it improving on the existing costume or having an entirely new one altogether.

Re: Joining Rebel Legion
I've communicated Roger Allen's email to me, to Azmi who may be the third and last person needed to revive the RL here. Upon discovering the approval of Herve Cotton, I contacted Roger Allen about plans to help revive the RL here, and this is his reply:
"Hi Dominic,
I've checked the OuterRim "Base" and see several people whose costumes are archived or inactive. Several of these do not list the country they are from, so I don't' know if any of these are from Singapore.
I'm assuming a few things here: (1) that there used to be a Singapore Outpost (or maybe base). The rules changed over the last year and the minimum members required for an Outpost or Base was reduced...so I'm thinking Singapore had, at best, an Outpost. (2) The Rebel Legion members from Singapore whose costumes are "inactive" or "archived" were probably moved to the inactive/archive list before or during the "old frame" issue. Basically, our costume standards were updated and, in order to make sure everyone had updated costumes AND that they were active members, the RL designed new frames to go with the membership pics. Everyone had their costumes "rejudged" and a new frame issued. Those that didn't bother to update or move to the new frames, were likely put in reserve/archived/inactive.
So...we need to find out who these people are (that want to reactive their Rebel Legion accounts). We can go about this one of two ways;
1. If they remember their Rebel Legion forum names, I can get those *from you) and check their member status and see what is needed to get them reactivated.
OR
2. They can submit new applications and be rejudged. The thing is...if their existing archived/inactive memberships are on old frames, then they'll need rejudging anyway.
So, I would recommend that, if possible, you (or they) give me their Rebel Legion forum names, and I'll check their membership status. THEN, I'll let you know what is needed to get these members back to an active status.
I will say that it is possible that some costumes might need some upgrading in order to be reactivated. Hopefully, any mods would be simple and easy. Of course, I will help with this in any way I can.
We only need three members to establish an Outpost. Once an Outpost is set up, other members can get reactivated or join when they are ready. We'll need a logo for the Outpost too. Hopefully, you guys can come up with something that is unique to Singapore
I think this is awesome that Singapore is considering establishing a new Rebel Legion Outpost through the Singapore Garrison. It can serve as an example of how our two groups can and should work together.
I will help in any way that is needed. Just let me know the forum names...unless they simply want to go ahead and resubmit for judging. If they want to resubmit...if I could find out who they are, I can help their applications along.
Looking forward to hearing from you on this exciting project."

Re: Joining Rebel Legion
let's make this happen, guys! we only need one more Rl member to start the outpost!
I know many members of the 501st also have a "nice guy"'s costume somewhere, maybe needing an "upgrade", or a bit of "refresh", but I am sure the basics are there.

Thanks for the info, Domz.
Gosh, I've not logged in here for a long time. Long time.
