THE GALACTIC SENATE

The Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore celebrated 25 years of infocomm in Singapore with a unique exhibition
at Hall 3 of Singapore Expo from 11 to 15 October.

A small deployment of Star Wars and Star Trek costumers were priveleged to join in the celebration and bring a sci-fi feel to
visitors... As the exhibition employed a guided tour concept, we had to cap the number of participants to keep the group size
manageable by the organizer...

Our landing was anticipated by the colony leadership... The Emperor would have been displeased if it wasn't...




Our troops were quick to take ground...




... meeting pockets of resistance which had to be dealt with swiftly...



Fortunately, we had infiltrated their ranks in advance... with troopers dressed as theirs...



Every inch was searched for Rebel scum...


Our efforts were also hampered by inefficient immigration protocols that expected from us much brain activity...


... as well as inhabitants who wanted autographs...







... and photographs... and more photographs...



What was unexpected was the appearance of Star Fleet members from another galaxy... who tried in vain to engage us in negotiations...


Reinforcements were called in...


... which arrived quickly...



Together with our Lord, we eventually achieved dominance...

Deeply feared by all, Lord Anakin's presence never fail to give our troops added confidence on the battlefield.





And he was most kind to grant our troops some R & R at the local entertainment centres...




Recharged, we returned to our duties... Starting with weapon training for those who chose to join the Empire...


Another successful engagement... Another colony conquered by the Empire... Indeed, there shall be no place for those who oppose it...

Desmond, you have a true affinity for comedy! I hope your profession puts it to some good use, or it would be a waste of good talent there...bwaaahahhaha...

It's a really good bedtime story - starts out in suspense, kicks in some real action, and then interesting plot twists...and finally, of course...a happy ending!!

I laughed till I nearly cried.
