Yes any kind of spray paint from the can would work. But its best to:

1) Sandpaper the entire thing to give the paint a better surface to adhere to, and

2) Spray a coat of primer (flat gray or iron oxide) which will allow you to see any imperectins you may want to fill/re-sand, and also to give the paint an even better surface to adhere to.

Good luck!

I would ring Simply Toys first to check if they have stock before heading down. The DC is easier to find now than the E11.

Plo is right about prepping the blasters for paint work. I've used Nippon PYLOX paint on mine and it works beautifully.

I AVOID Nippon Paint after it failed my stardard when I did my Jedi Food Capsules and probably how it had spoiled my Don Post IRG Helmet. It also "creep" off the surface, even with 2 layers of Primer underneath!

Go for Krylon or even Tamiya 4WD Spray paint as it's meant for Plastic. ;)

Yes, yr right...somehow for helmets and some other stuff PYLOX is not so good. For my blaster, no problems at all though. Yes, Krylon is still the BEST but you can only get it from a few places and the colors are limited. For a standard black though it should be easy to find.
