DC-15 rifle for clones.

Post by Sev-like » Sat Dec 20, 2008 11:03 pm

Hey guys, I'd made this rifle over the last few days.. Its made from compressed foam board and pvc pipe.. It's at 1:1 scale and pretty accurate too. Sorry the picture's blurry, don't have a good cam.

Any ideas how to carry it around? A long bag or a box maybe.. Its one long section..can't be separated easily.

Can try looking at padded zip bags meant for long stuffs like Martial Art Weapon or musical instrument or photography equipment or Artwork Stand etc. ;) Best will be shops selling bags for carrying weapons like airsoft or real rifles but they are very rare, if not not available in Singapore

Maybe Arts Friends have something :?: if not got to ask around for people who partice martial arts (like Wushu?) or Music for shops that might sell such bags.

Or you can get someone who can sew well to make one for you using materials for making bags and a few layer quilt blanket paddings. ;) Can also add a few pieces of Hard Sponge (meant for packing of expansive equipments or new appliances or for making seat cushion) at certain position to prevent the rifle from moving around.

Thanks Haldir. :D

I kinda got an impression that Arts Friends have some long black bags..can't remember much..

Deviss was wondering about cello cases...It might look really awesome if we can carry our DC carbines in hard violin cases...

Heh, the problem of finding the right bag is one that is wide enough for your rifles. ;)

Alamak, Hard Cases will be great but it might be expansive, if not heavy. ;)

looks great!

i am gonna wanna attempt one too...but i dunnoe if i will ever start... pfffttt...

but in way ways, cant it be broken into 2 sections? Else it would really be a pain in the a$$ to transport!

Tried rifle cases / bags?

Its quite easy, took me 4 straight days.. I was hoping i can get the bag or case locally..rifle cases may be too expensive for me..

I basically made it in 2 sections, stock and the barrel...i'd tried making the stock detachable, but the joint is too weak.. This is my first creation so yeah, i may need alot of brainstorming to solve that portability and strength issue..

Anyone know of some talioring shops willing to make a custom bag?
