Hasbro Clone Voice Changer basic mod project

ok just got a whole bunch of these helmets in thought i share my mod on it with you guys.

as some of you already knew alot of the 501st guys in the US has already done mods on these and they can be prety damn good. so here is my start.

looks good... except for the visor...too wide..

did you remove the rear panels yourself or is it detachable so that your head can fit in??

it all comes in pieces and need to lock it in in order to fit your head.
i can' fit glasses in but if i remove the rubber inner piece. the helmet comes apart into 3 major pieces.

ok started work on this now. took it apart completely and now working on the face plate template. will cut the plastic tomorow and start putty.

C6, otherwise known as Clone6 makes a very popular and highly sought-after Phase 1 Clone helmet. Its been modified from a Kelloggs bucket and includes a separate bottom piece that fits below the helmet to seal the bottom opening once the helmet is on the trooper's head. Paul K has one!

The dimensions of the Hasbro helmet though, were taken off the original blue-prints used for the movie....so apart from the extra big visor area, the seams and the ventilation holes, it is the most accurate Phase 1 Clone helmet available. It needs quite alot of work though to make it totally movie accurate, but its a pretty good base to start from.

hehe...already started but i think i will leave the vent holes on the front and rear side in.
alot of the clones in the US 501st are already converting theirs, my friend who got me these already has 2 done and is now waiting for the new release of the corsant guard version. it is actually not that hard to do as he told me, just need to do the front face plate and seal all the gap and your good to go.. it will even fit my glasses.

Here's what I've done playing around with 2 of the 3 I got. I didn't seal anything up, just did a little spray paint and dry brushing work.

Oh my...they look really nice...

Anyway to get rid of that ridge where the visor meets the painted on part of the visor? Bondo it up? How did you get that "walked-thru-a-fire-sooty look"? I wanna weather my gunship the same way...

If you want to do a proper smaller visor, you'll need to use plastic card cut to shape and bondo it to the existing visor. As for the weathered look, I just used dry brushing with dark grey, silver and a bit of black.
