Biker Scout Concept Carbine

Post by Paul K » Wed Nov 14, 2007 11:16 pm

This is the carbine that is featured in concept artwork for the Biker Scout. Never used in the movie but a darn hard piece to find. This is not a recast but an original rubber pull from the chap that made it. The nozzel had broken off so I had to recreate and build one from scratch.

Rubber tore open when I screwed in the barrel/nozzle assembly so major putty work. Anyway, looks like the worst is over and it'll be just the painting.

It's solid rubber and heavy as heck. Quite a work out lifting this bugger. I can't imagine trooping with this carbine.

Paul,

I have the same one, but went with acrylic tubing to screw on the muzzle/flash hinder. The forward grip has a permanent attachment that holds it flush and tight to the mainbody.

Can anyone say lightweight fiberglass resin? LMK.

Stay safe,

Tim.

Paul, with Tim's photo I can see the scale of it. Wow, in solid rubber if the high density grade, I can understand why you complaining. But then again I don't think there's any weapon you can't lift no?

Hey Tim, Sandie carrying Scout Carbine...so wrong man.
Do you have any close-ups shot of the sling mount? I'll like to see how you added the sling.

I'm gonna paint mine in two tone with gun metal and flat black.

Depending on our next trooping session, if it's done, I'll bring it along for all to do weights and pump up their pecs. Spartaaaaaaa!

Hi paul,

Apologies, couldn't find a better pic and i did make some changes after trying out the mounting options.

Here it is, and much more user friendly. ;)

Tim, the extra long thigh strip on the right thigh armor reminds me this might be a TE or TE2. Is the strip 20mm or 25mm thick?

Yen,

My ANH Sandtrooper Armor is a TE original [my 2nd suit from Matt]. I'll have to check on the measurements.

Thanks for help Tim. Wow 2 suits from the master you are lucky! I'm beginning to love his stuff too after I got a TE bucket.

Sorry Paul, back to your thread now.
