At last it gives me great pleasure to start off this thread to share with everyone the project (apart from some of you guys in the 501st Singapore Garrison ) that I've been working on since mid 2006. Image In a few days time, to be EXACT this coming Saturday,
October 6 for the 501st Legion Asia Celebration in Taiwan I'll be appearing exactly like the Snowtrooper Commander who received the Go-Ahead from General Veers in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK to deploy the 501st Legion's Blizzard Force Snowtroopers during the climatic Battle of Hoth..

Image

The costume prop of the Snowtrooper Commander or Snowcommander in short, is
distinctively different as seen in this pic below :

..from the regular Snowtrooper Infantryman as seen here with Lord Vader himself :-X during the
Blizzard Force's efficient invasion of the Rebel Alliance's Echo Base

Congratulations, Peter.

That's one sweet-lookin' set of armour you got there, especially the helmet :)

Looking forward to more pix of you in costume.

Thanks for the compliments Daniel. :D

I also credit you for some of the assistance that you've given me - esp. the Commpad components and Torso Armor assembly technique. It will be finished - painted and trimmed to look as close as the prop piece. Will post the pics when it is done.

I'll definitely be posting more picture updates when time permits. I'll be getting my Torso Armor done up tonight using a combination of Nylon Straps and Metal Snaps to hold every part in place.

Looking forward to troop with you someday in the near future with you in your General Veers/ AT-AT Driver's costume and me as the Snowtrooper Commander. 8)
