Hey Fans,

As some of you know, awhiles back I announced the retirement of my movie accurate Anon ANH Sandtrooper suit due to damages sustained during it's Tour of Duty. In that same post, I also posted a picture hint of my next and new identity/suit. Here's a recap of that pic...

Most of you know me for my anal views on movie accuracy and it would be obvious that my next project would have that same anal mentality. Well, suffice to say that after 5 fruitful patient years spent at TDH, studying, researching and most of all, making friends over there. I have finally fufilled my dream of owning another movie accurate suit. So without further delay, I present to you, my next project and suit...

Copy that Erase...as much as I had fun being the first and only Sandtrooper in Singapore...it's time to hunt bounties. :)

Whatever the outcome, it was an honor to troop with the second Sandtrooper in Singapore. ;)

Keep the Sandies trooping and remember, we're the only troopers that never lost to the rebels in a firefight.

Stay safe,

Tim.

Just a quick recap, with painting my armor, I decided to go with the masking method as I feel that it represents 'real world wear and tear' more accurately than a topical layer...HOWEVER, a topical layer, done right, would look just as awesome. :)

Here we go...

Masking removed: ['Damaged' silver basecoat and yellow trim exposed]

The Armor Set: [weathering, scratches and misting still to be done, topical layer too.]

Test misting done:

Oh and I still have to dullcoat the colors as they are just a little bit too bright.

Thanks for tuning in everyone!

Tim.

Oh and some of you might have noticed that I mentioned topical layer just above the Armor Set pics, reason for this is that after masking, I totally forgot a 'damaged' layer before the final color should have gone on.

So rather than strip the entire paint off that particular piece, i'll go with a topical layer and see how it comes out. Failing that, i'll strip it and do it from scratch again. :)

That's it...comments welcomed!

Tim.

Don,

Thank you. The paints used were rattle can paints from Tamiya. Hope that helps...
