Stormtrooper Blaster 1:1 scale

Post by Paul K » Thu Jun 22, 2006 9:56 pm

Just doing a dry fit for my Stormtrooper blaster. This is not the Kenner blaster. I'll have to make some conversions to get it to ROTJ version. This will be a work in progress and I'll update it as I go along.

Good start to an E-11 blaster. If you want a metal scope rail and a metal foldable stock, I can put you in touch with a guy who makes them.

Hope you don't mind, but your resin hengster counter seem a bit small, and your scope seem to be somewhat inaccurate. But if you're not going for screen accurate but just wanna troop with it, then its ok.

Just for reference here's a blaster with a real Eagle Hengster counter(pic courtesy of The Parts Of Star Wars):

And here's a pic of my real M38 tank scope for reference:

Also if you want t-tracks very very close to what's used on the barrels of blasters in the movie, PM me and I'll get some for you.

Here's what I'm talking about:

Yes, I do agree that it is only a good start but some mods will have to be done. I guess this will be a long project for me but this thread could turn into a tutorial for others as well. I do need some of the things so I'll PM you. Cheers.

Here's an update on the progress. Drilling for the Barrel completed and minor sanding done. Awaiting some upgraded parts to come back from casting.

In my haste to take the picture, I placed the stock wrongly. Good catch Awee. This is the drilling template I used. The template was done by Geoff Allen. Thanks Geoff. The templates make the ANH version of the E11.
