Hi folks, I recently bought some conductive thread for testing purposes. The idea is to sew some through the gloves so that you can use touchscreen phones/tablets while wearing them. Conductive thread can be cut, threaded and washed like normal thread.

It works.

You only need a couple of feet of this to experiment and sew onto one finger. However, unlike normal fabric thread, this is nevertheless fine stainless steel wire so it has a tendency to spring out straight instead of staying coiled.

The thread I bought is thinner than what the website recommends for gloves. The reason I bought a slightly thinner thread is because I didn't want to poke enough big holes to rip through the leather portion of the nomex gloves used by Stormtroopers.
