8) Hi guys! I have decided to make my own TD Backpack before my baby arrive in Feb next yr. Won't have any free time by then.

Can any Sandy seniors here advice me on where I can get the parts here locally besides the Radio plate which hav to order frm overseas? Appreciate it so tat I do not waste any time looking for most of the parts.

Thank you!!!!

Hope you find the link useful for a start. There are numerous interpretations of the pack components to which the only limit is your imagination. Feel free to experiment but be mindful of the weight piling up as you move along.

Welcome to the dirty side.

Thread moved to The Academy. Good luck, guys!

Anyway, these are images of my first self-made TD backpack... Note that the grey hose is not cannon... Anyway, it has since been improved with the more screen-accurate cistern manifold...

For the tube, it's basically PVC tubing with end caps. I use a japanese wooden saucer from Daiso for the attached dish (not seen here). My backpack is mounted on a military backpack frame and the 2 main boxes are plastic Toyogo containers. The canisters are water bottles topped with plastic Chinese bowls.
