nice work with the frown. it's hard work to cut and tape so +1 for your effort. but u may consider making both the ends longer for an even nicer look. 8)

In case anyone's wondering. There are basically 2 types of stormtrooper helmets - Hero and Stunt.

The differences are:
1. The Hero helmet uses bubble lenses while the Stunt has flat dark green lens.
2. The Hero helmet has a shorter frown area with only 6 holes, 3 on each side. The Stunt has a longer frown with 8 holes, 4 on each side.
3. The Hero helmet has a lower brow making the face look fiercer. The Stunt helmet has a lifted brow.
4. The Stunt helmet has 3 screws on each side of the helmet, 2 at the round area of the ear and 1 at the bottom of the ear. The Hero helmet only has 2 screws on each side, 1 at the round part of the ear and 1 at the bottom of the ear.

The VT helmet is a Stunt helmet....but the standee one in yr hall is a Hero stormtrooper. Hero helmets were used by Luke, Han and other stormtroopers who were protrayed closer to the camera.

Ah...nicely done. :D

Now remember to use the Velcro brand velcro. You don't want it falling apart again.

Can't wait to troop with you too.

welcome aboard trooper! but u are not done just yet, costuming is a never ending process, u will learn to modify your armour after every trooping to see what works and what don't and areas to improve. 8)

from my experiences, for newbies the most important thing is to learn to wear your armour with as minimal help as possible. try to attach everything as humanly possible together so that u can wear it in one go. we will discuss more when we meet for trooping, which will be very soon i hope. 8)

for the time being, rewatch the original trilogy and practice your poses.

Thanks for helping to buy the helmet rim liner thingy.. But I suggest you start a new thread the " The academy" section so we don't end up OT-ing this thread...

Btw, count me in. :D

Yup, I will do that gordon! Thinking of permanently fixing the shoulder bell with the main chest plate with cloth tape. I've tried putting on the costume at home and after some movement, the shoulder velcro will loosen and hang lower.

Is that you eugene? :o Yeah, I want that rubber rubing thing too! Thank!
