Edit: Stormtrooper Armour Help
I see, yeah I meant the thickness. I lifted those measurement off the other thread regarding stormtrooper outfit. Any of you can gimme the exact width of the black and white velcro that you guys use? So I assume the 6 buckles needed are for the white velcro to go through?
Looking forward to trooping with all of you soon too. Got a question in my head for some time. Can you guys differenciate each other when in stormtrooper outfit? haha or must go near and whisper who are you ar? o_o

we look at eachother's actions we can sometimes tell who they are.dr34m wrote: Got a question in my head for some time. Can you guys differenciate each other when in stormtrooper outfit? haha or must go near and whisper who are you ar? o_o
you can choose yourself. go to 501st.com and look at the whole list of numbers.dr34m wrote:Haha is there number assigned randomly?

choose one that is meaningful to you as it will be with u for life.
They may have to go into the tens thousands if there were so many troopers. But currently, I thinks there's about 5k plus troopers only.
Statistically, you ought to have a 50% chance of getting the number you want, but that never happened for me In the end, I settled with something that sounded pretty cool. Tee Kay Eight Seven Hundred..
Eh, the white velcro is 1" wide, the black one is 2" wide. So ideally your buckle should be slightly smaller.. Elastic, I went for the 1" type from Spotlite. I remember using 2 sets of buckles, but then that depends on how you strap up your armor.

bro, get the CA boots if possible. it's the best and movie accurate as well. not to mention comfy too. it's hard to find anything close to it''s standards.dr34m wrote:I'm just gonna stall the boots and see any second hand available or maybe a local source. Don't really like the time needed for international postage haha.

smaller than what? sorry, right now I can't visualise how its used. Is it the connected to the velcro? If so, should the buckle be able to fit both the velcro? Meaning I find a buckle around 2inch wide.So ideally your buckle should be slightly smaller
And any links to pictures to what kinds of plastic sheet is the guide talking about?5. Plastic sheets: This is available from Art Friend. They are thin glossy sheets of white plastic. Get about 2 sheets in A3 size. You will need them for the belt straps.

The 1" (white) velcro is looped through the buckle, that's why you'll want the buckle to be slightly smaller. Only the white velcro will be used with the buckle, not the 2" black industrial strength ones.
Not really. Just A3 sized plastic sheets. Glossy white, about 1-2mm thick. I think its in either ABS or styrene. If you go to the Bras Basah branch, I'll suppose it's around the acrylic sheets area. I kinda remember that there's a shelf of styrene sheets over there.
