Need advice about costuming
every armor and accessory here and elsewhere are made by fans..neither GL nor Lucasfilm endorses the armor and parts made...
the makers can be sued if they are mass producing the armor for profits...however, exceptions have been made for the 501st in condition that they are not mass produced like battle droids nor are for profit making...

In order to mass produce armor, a licence needs to be purchased from LFL, similar to what eFX and Master Replica have with LFL to produce helmets. Rubies have done the same and recently acquired the licence to produce armor as well - see their Supreme Stormtrooper Armor. Its on pre-order on eBay now. However no one is really sure of the quality of this suit yet. The helmet looks inaccurate for one thing. Also, Rubies tend to have a bad reputation for creating low quality, inaccurate helmets. The best costume from them in my opinion is their Supreme Darth Vader.Sev-like wrote:every armor and accessory here and elsewhere are made by fans..neither GL nor Lucasfilm endorses the armor and parts made...

You need a vac-form machine and those cost several thousand dollars. We did look around for a while but we could only source the industrial sized one - 5m X 5m was the smallest size and it costs $25k-30k! You will need a 1m X 1m one but it will still cost about $10k.Redblur wrote:is it hard to do that?
do i need special skills to do that ?

Those guys in the US, they have one of these or they improvised and self made a Vac form machine.
Sometimes reading through their posting, they give me this impression that they are using a DIY machine. As they produce low quantities of the armor parts.

"The Darkside of the force is a pathway to many abilities that some consider to be unnatural.....is it possible to learn those powers? YES, Not from a Jedi..."
