Bikerscout Parts
For Lancer Status, that "red" square cannot be there.
II. ARMOR
1. Film-accurate or close approximation of complete armor set.
- The review committee will examine each costume in its entirety for accuracy, fit and overall aesthetic.
2. Breastplate must include the rectangular black or dark gray strip on the lower right breast.
3. Bullet tank on the backplate must have film-accurate or close approximation of tank topper detail and proper pinstriping.
- Tank toppers that are integrated as part of a unified vacuformed back plate/bullet tank assembly are not acceptable.
- "Rank stripes" are optional but, if included, may only number from one (1) to six (6) stripes on the right side of the bullet tank.
- The red square next to the left side of the tank topper, as seen on the MotM scout exhibit, is not acceptable (the screen scouts did not have them).- Blinking lights or LED's on the bullet tank are not acceptable.
4. Bicep armor includes film-accurate or close approximation of the "T-bit" detail and they are secured around the arm with an elastic strap.
5. Forearm armor secured around the arm with an elastic strap.
6. Belt cannister box must include black detail pieces that approximate those seen in movie screenshots.
- Blinking lights or LED's on the belt cannister box are not acceptable.
7. Grey belt cannister tube.
And remember that not everyone who applied for Lancer Status and costume had reach that look will be approved for Lancer.

Will have to check with Paul how he settle his assuming it is from Cal too. Or contact Cal to how to get around it (maybe he have the Tank without the Red Square on it aka it's the "Assembled tank w/ topper" Tank?)
Or use White Insulating Tape to cover it?
My Tank have no Red Square thankfully as came from another seller a long, long time ago.

Red_5, Lancer is the highest level of accuracy one can achieve for a Biker Scout suit.
The scout standard entry level for 501st entrance is only about 80% accurate to the original. This is still ok as most observers won't be able to tell the difference. However within the Pathfinders Detachment which is a detachment within the 501st meant for scouts, they have set the ultimate standard (100% accuracy) within known as Lancer Grade. There are only a handfull of Lancers in the world and we're proud to have 1 in Singapore.
That being said, its incredibly difficult to obtain the Lancer recognition, sometimes even if you meet the stated requirements. What I usually advise is, try to meet lancer standards but don't bother too much whether you get recognised as Lancer or not. you're in this for fun so have fun! Thats why I'm glad HyBRiD is still getting the blinking LED pack - we have 2 guys here using it and it is cool. The point is to enjoy yourself so dont worry too much about achieving the highest standards.

oic, thanks for the explanation
I think, maybe if we use a white tape of some kind to cover the red square, could that pass? Becoz i think having a blinker is nice too.

"The Darkside of the force is a pathway to many abilities that some consider to be unnatural.....is it possible to learn those powers? YES, Not from a Jedi..."
We usually get it from the same people whom we gotten our full armor from. One source is selling it for around USD40.
U interested in the Scout Armor?
FYI, the full Armor Set cost around USD400+++ (+++ part is for shipping and additional costs like certain parts had been assembled).
Fiberglass Helmet is additional USD330++ while ABS Helmet Kit runs around USD160+ unassembled and untrimmed. Don Post or worse Rubies will depend on luck, probably under USD100 but they'll need a lot of work to make it more durable and usable.
Soft parts can range in prices depending on source; local or overseas and type (alternative or accurate or dun make it).
Personally, I'll say to allocate around SGD600+ for it if getting everything done by the tailor and Shoes Maker, apart from getting certain parts like Accurate Gloves and Balaclava from Overseas. If doing most parts yourself or using alternatives, the price for Soft Part can be less than half of the above price or more.

Well, we Costumer usually take the middle-to-higher range of pricetag. And when ordering most of the parts from 1 source, the cost of Shipping when divided between the main parts are reduced greatly, compared to buying them individually.
The higher estimation reduced the shock later when comes to paying for the actual item, or allow extra cash for better parts or accessories.
My ABS helmet cost me USD180 FYI but several hours/weeks of headache fixing it together. And dun even ask how much William one cost but it doesn't include the time he took to modify it heavily, and of course, how it fare against the rest of us helmets.
