Need advice about costuming
Do not be hasty young one.
Save up your money first and then start planning.
Seriously, none of us 501st Trooper managed to get our Armor while we're still students; ALL started buying armor after we started working (No, RedandBlue is not counted as still underage and he REALLY can afford it after a few months of saving up his allowances).
And speaking from experiences, buy 1 part per year to complete an Armor is NO fun, especially when you have to squeeze in real life expenditures in between or else the stomach will go empty......

You are very anxious 'bout your armor aren't you?
relax...take it one step at a time [no, not one piece at a time]...its hard to get any armor below $500...and its also quite a valuable experience to help the guys out as a minder when they're trooping....
Sincerely, I'd like to see a $500 501st-worthy TK armor....nope i haven't seen it... just save up more money and get something you really want later in the near future...

Redblur, a few tips for u...
1. exams r here soon. strike a deal with ur parents. if u get past certain grade, they give u some incentive. only if ur parents can afford.
2. work during ur holidays to earn ur keep.
3. cut down on some expenses like skipping a movie or two, get the cheapest food during recess. (do u still call it recess these days?)
4. target how much u save per day or per week.
u in upper sec or lower sec?

I'm a clean scout, so dun dirty my armour on purpose.
Thats really sound advise everyone's giving you, Redblur. Once you've saved up about $1k, let me know and I'll try to help you get your TK budget style through some 501st contacts in the US. BUT there's no good TK armor for $500, bro...so do save up.Frodo,Naruto,Weirdo wrote:Redblur, a few tips for u...

hmmm after researching on the scout, they seem to be more expensive to build than a stormtrooper.Sev-like wrote:Ah...15...lucky guy..Scouts are pretty okay for the "lack-money" fans... But i'll stick with a TK or a TC....depending on how much money i can save...
"The Darkside of the force is a pathway to many abilities that some consider to be unnatural.....is it possible to learn those powers? YES, Not from a Jedi..."
Ew the number 1 is too much expensive for that...and for number 3...i will bring my own food from house...It's very expensive in my school fried rice + nuggets cost me about Rp.8000 or about S$1.....Frodo,Naruto,Weirdo wrote:Redblur, a few tips for u...

Aren't all armor fan-made? Lucas doesn't like the armor mass produced like some B1-battle droids.. or does he?
