Hello Fellow Star Wars Fans,

I am a MASSIVE Star Wars from Melbourne Australia. I will be visiting Singapore for 5 days on the 20th of January and was wondering where the best shops and places are for Star Wars items or a Star Wars experience?

Is there anything Star Wars that I will only see in Singapore? I would really love to know as I travel the world and have taken pictures of things which are related to Star Wars.

Anyhow....any information or help anyone can provide would be fantastic. I am especially looking for any place where I can pick up free flyers or paper materials. This is the sort of stuff I collect.

You'll be coming during an unusual time of the year - Chinese New Year. The public holidays are on 23 and 24 (Mon, Tue). That said, there's one thing you could do that's fairly unique - visit the site of the Sandcrawler.* That's the new building for Lucasfilm's production house currently located elsewhere on the island. It's still just a construction site with some piling going on (expected to be finished March 2013), so really, there's not much to see. If you take the subway to "one-North", you can take a photo of the locality map that marks the site as "Sandcrawler". Unexciting, but a very unique Star Wars thing. As for their current office, well, security is real tight.

* Go to http://maps.google.com.sg/ and search for "21 Portsdown Road". It's the kite shape just below the pindrop.

Thank you for all the great replies.

I did finally make it to your wonderful country, but I had to cut my trip short and so was only there for 2 days. I didn't really get to see much...and certainly nothing to do with Star Wars. I liked Singapore and really hope to be back when I have holidays again next year.
