Hi all,

MM will be helping to organize CosCon at STCC on 13-16 Aug (Thurs- Sun) at Suntec City Halls 401- 402.

Due to last yrs overwhelming response, the organizers have booked 2 halls and we will be posting more news in time..

We will probably make some amendments and add more costume categories for the cosplay contests..

Regards

Maybe the date have to do with the availability of the halls? :?

Ya, neither STGCC or GCA had been listed yet at Suntec Website so there might be other events too happening there in June or July, hence STGCC can't happen in June again.

Hope after next year, pi Events will settle on a consistant month for STGCC to take place (ya, usually after 2nd annual event, the month it happen usually will stablized).

And for a little more guide, checking the Suntec Halls capacity, last year's STCC happened at Convention Hall 603, occupying floor area of 35,508 sq ft or 3,300 sq m.

Next year's STGCC will occupy Exhibition Halls 401-402 thus probably occupying floor area of 65,743 sq ft (Hall 401 = 41,856sq ft and Hall 402 = 23,887 sq ft) or 6,110 sq m.

Ya, nearly double the size and hopefully not only double the amount of things to see and shop at but also more space to walk! :P

There was an earlier report that suggested STGCC and AFA may merge...

Well, if STGCC and AFA does merged, that probably means AFA will be brought forward to August since STGCC had already settle on a date, location and probably already getting the booths bookings.

There is also the little problem of AFA being organized by I-Promo and Dentsu Singapore while STGCC by pi Events so come worse maybe next year AFA will just book the hall next to STGCC? :P

Woh! 3 Halls of activities.

Okay, guess got to wait for the official news from the horse's mouth whether AFA will join STGCC.

Oh yea i guess the best part of this convention would be the "Free Entry" part. :D
They made us pay $5 for the AFA. :x

Well, for AFA I guess they're trying to control the flow of people going into the hall but since $5 is still affordable for most people, I heard it there was still a huge crowd there.
