COSTUMERS NEEDED

Fernvale School (located in Sengkang) will be celebrating Children's Day on 29 Sep 2008 this year, and my friend and I have sponsored goodie bags for the whole school.

We would like to bring smiles to the faces of these special children by introducing them to the worlds of Star Wars, so I have a special request to ask of all costumers in this forum.

In particular, we need some costumers to bring the Star Wars characters to life for these kids on Children's Day.

Costumers will be provided with the following:
**An air-conditioned room to change in, near the school hall.
**Halal Lunch will be provided.
**Drinks, drinks, drinks.
**High Tea/Early Dinner will be provided for those who want to hang around and join us after the whole thing is over.

Rebel and Imperial costumers alike are welcomed to join this event.


CHILDREN'S DAY PROGRAMME

The costumers will be introduced to the children in the school hall, where the kids will win a few prizes for answering some simple questions about Star Wars.

Then, there will be a photo session, supervised by the teachers, where the kids can take turns to have their photo taken with the costumers. Costumers will not have to move around, as the kids will be brought to the costumers in the school hall for the photo taking.

Any other suggestions for entertaining the kids will be most welcomed, as this is the only entertainment that these children will have to celebrate Children's Day this year.

I will be taking leave to oversee everything on that day, including taking care of all costumers. I might even suit up myself, if needed.

Date: 29 Sep 2008
Time: 9.00am-4.00pm (2 sessions)
Place: Fernvale School (in Sengkang)

The schedule for the day will be as follows...

9.00am-10.00am Suiting Up
10.00am-11.00am 1st Show for Morning Session
11.00am-12.00pm Dressing Down

12.00pm-1.00pm Lunchtime

1.00pm-2.00pm Suiting Up
2.00pm-3.00pm 2nd Show for Afternoon Session
3.00pm-4.00pm Dressing Down

It's a Monday right and not School Holiday or Public Holiday? I think I should be free that day as SC is "closed" on Mondays so not working.

Anyhow, it's the last few days of Fasting Month lah dear so no need for Lunch for some of us......unless we can tapau it home for breaking fast.

I'm unlikely to participate because it falls on a weekday and I'm running out of leave... Anyway, if this school has children who are mentally challenged, please ensure that our costumers don't end up causing a scare. For our previous Pathlight School Children's Day Celebration, we made sure that the school showed the children our photos before the event to 'condition' them.

Yeah, the school will prepare the kids before we go there, I still recall that is what we did at Pathlight before, which is why I need to know which characters will be going.

Any Jedis joining us on that day?? How about SEJA giving a performance? At least 2 Jedis needed for this, or 1 Jedi and 1 Sith?

Also, I'm sure the school will be OK with giving CIP points for those who need it (is that what they call it these days when u do community work as part of your CCA requirements?).
