Star Wars Halloween Party Bus - 27th Oct 2007

Hi all,

Sorry to throwing this in at the last minute. Was speaking to some of the guys and we decided that it would be a good idea to arrange a Star Wars Halloween event this year to mark the 30th Anniversary!

So...here's the plan.

Date: 27 Oct 2007 (this Sat)
8pm- Gathering at my place (22 Watten Drive). Prep party. Food and drinks will be served! This will be the staging area for suiting up.
11pm- We will move off in a few cars to Clarke Quay. There's a Halloween Party at the Pump Room. We can troop in and around there quite freely. Some of us are already used to trooping there so we think it makes a great spot.

1. The bus has been cancelled as there are too few ppl going so its not that feasible...and since we have enough cars for everyone.
2. Found out Club Momo has closed down.

Guys,

Just wanted to remind all of you that you'll be trooping in the worst conditions manageable. Please keep an eye on your suit equipment and make sure there are enough Minders to keep an eye on you.

It's Halloween out, and they'll be all sort of weirdos around, so stay sharp and keep your tempers in check. You're gonna get alot of helmet taps on that nite so stay focused. Trust me, I've been there.

Advice aside, have fun and knock the massses socks off!

Tim!!!! You should join us! We're trying to avoid the rowdy/over-crowded clubs like zouk. We'll try to stick to safer places like Moo Moo and Robertson Quay areas.

The trick is to walk about with helmets off. No one will dare tap your head then! haha

Kinda defeats the purpose of wearin armor no?

Anyhow, in that case, I'm pretty sure Andrew will have loads of fun.

Here's what I've planned so far. The bus will fetch us about 11pm and the first stop will be Clarke Quay. There's a Halloween Party at the Pump Room. Some of us have trooped before at the Pump Room and we find that its very trooper friendly. They serve food and drinks and if it gets too stuffy, we can move to the outside and wander about Clarke Quay, trooping and taking pics.

Next stop will be Club Momo. I've never been here personally but according to the guys from last year's bus, they say its a good spot as its not to crowded and the atmosphere is great.

I've been cracking my head to come up with the third spot and until now I've got nothing. Haven't had much suggestions also. All I know is Zouk is definitely out! Its too crowded to the point you can't even move properly. Honestly, if we can't come up with the 3rd spot, we can just carry on and spend more time at the 2 locations. I've booked the bus for the whole time slot anyway so its really up to us if we want 2 or 3 locations.

Anyone with suggestions?

Guys, that was one of the most fun I've had in a long time! Good thing we didn't take the bus - We ended at 6AM!!! hahaha...

thanks Keith for organized everythin and uploading the photos...
i had so much fun yesterday, saw dancing troopers, Vader being "abused", drunkard etc...

quite a memorable moments, 1st time trooped in armor in such an "uncivilized" situation, luckily i didnt attach the RF and bring the jetpack. and to my luck, i managed to find my toe spike on the way to the carpark.
