Fengshan CC Hobbies Fair - 25 Aug 07

We've been invited to participate in the Fenghan CC (Bedok North Street 2) Hobbies Day on 25 Aug 07 from 9.30 am to 2 pm.

The VIP gracing the event will be Mr. Raymond Lim, Minister of Transport and second Minister for Foreign Affairs

The event is held in conjunction with the Fengshan CC Charity Walk, so the crowd size expected is approximately 2000 people or more.

Jedi-slayer, al13ns and I will be sharing a stall to sell our SW toys and collectibles, and promote our local fan base.

Members of the 501st Legion will be participating in the charity walk.

A changing room will be provided for us from 8.30 am to 3 pm for costumers to change in and to store our belongings.

Members, especially those with costumes, are encouraged to show up.

Woh! Is that the CC I used to go to for Anime Screening when this club called Miyuki Anime Club was still around?

Will have a look at my schedule but I forget how to get there. Any leads for what bus to take from Bedok Interchange and how many stops away it is?

Take feeder bus 222 from Bedok Bus interchange and alight at Blk 109 Bedok North Rd (3rd stop) which is before the police station. The CC is on the opposite side of the road.

Apart from the charity walk, the costumers will be doing the usual walkaround/posing for photos or are there other things involved?

Charity walk is currently open to only 501st Legion members... For the fair, other than walkaround and posing for photos, no other tasks given to SW costumers...

A BIG THANK YOU to Haldir and renzaijh for showing up in costumes, to Jedi_slayer and family for bringing so many collectibles for sale, and to al13ns for minding me during the charity walk and helping out in so many ways...

The presence of the Star Wars magic was felt at Fengshan CC and the vicinity of Bedok North St 2, and we've linked up with a handful of fellow fans...

Thanks also to the organisers for waiving parking charges, providing us a comfortable changing room and providing us a good lunch of pizza...
