Its going to be tricky to pull this off from the licensing point of view... Donation tins would require a police license and a payable photo booth might require a separate ENV license... And if I remember correctly, an auditor might be required to endorse the collection.

We are most likely going to do Christmas kettling under the banner of The Salvation Army again this December, so I'll need to see if the dates clash...

yup. I alo noticed that the photo taking section might be a headache, esp with the license to collect such payment and the auditing part too...

well, i'll try to get in touch with the organiser and as soon as we have something going on which is more concrete, i will post again.
