Sorry off topic but it always cracks me up when a Singaporean asks how to get around.
This is because you guys have one of the best, if not THE best public transport system in South-East-Asia, and constantly updated online maps to pinpoint how to get from A to B, unlike in Malaysia where a map is usualy updated like every 10 years and they change the roads like every 3 months...
Furthermore eventhough the big city of Kuala Lumpur has the Putra LRT(Light Rail Transit, the equivalent of the MRT), Star LRT, Monorail, KTM Commuter train(for longer distance travel, usually for destinations outside Kuala Lumpur), and of course the buses; but when ever I go there I still have to walk for miles and miles under the hot sun and the rain to get from one transport system to the other because they put the stations in the most inconvenient places. All the various transport systems also are not integrated and you can't buy a pass that'll allow you to use all of them.
Oh and the taxi drivers WILL cheat you if they know you're not local, or don't know the roads well.
I'm soooo ashamed of our public transport system...
