HAPPY NATIONAL DAY, SINGAPORE!!!
Lotsa hugz & kisses for the nation, and for all those who serve it on a daily basis as a part of their daytime jobs! <3 <3 <3 xoxoxo
Watch for the fireworks... should be spectacular!!
I'll probably be watching Electrico perform on the eve of National Day, maybe can catch some fireworks by the bay... wow!
So what will everyone else be doing this National Day holiday?

Happy National Day, Everyone,
No NDP ticket, so probably watch at home,
Going Shopping will be crowded, probably stay at home,
Wants to go Swimming with the Kids, that too is crowded
most of the time at this Holiday, so probably
STAYING AT HOME would be a nice thing to do THEN!!!

Please remind me, is Singapore's National Day the day it achieved independance from the British, or the day it broke off from the Federation of Malaya?

9th August 1965 marks the separation of Singapore from Malaya.

Technically, Malaysia was formed on 16 September 1963, comprised of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore. Singapore was separated from Malaysia on 7 August 1965, and marked its national day on 9 August 1965.
