When the Command Team embarked on this update project, we wanted to retain all the elements of our logo, while giving it a modern and updated artistic feel. There was no need to change a good thing, merely to strengthen its message, and for our members to rally behind it. We chose a close friend of the garrison, Dave Liew as the artist for this revision.
The TK remains an icon of our affiliation to the Legion, the red and white colour scheme a reflection of our nationality, and the Lion, another national symbol, a reminder that we are Brave, Fearless and Regal.
To execute the update, we wanted to fully capture the realism of an actual TK replicating the original pose, so that we could vectorise it in the most authentic manner. So we got a trooper (prizes if you can guess who) to suit up for a photo and used that for Dave to vectorise.

We also stylised the imperial cog, lion and borders to give it more depth and weight. The fonts used were also updated for more body, and to differentiate the "5" from "S", as well as the "G" from "6".
The update was approved by the Legion logos team on 1 Apr 23 (No joke

We hope the garrison likes the update, and continue to rally behind it.
