Wow! My current dream camera!

My other current favourite is the Nikon D2X. But I can't justify getting either because I don't make a living taking phototographs

hi adamteo,
For a good zoom and taking pics of those models at the SSC, which canon camera do you think would suffice?

seriously, u will need a dslr as normal cameras, when u increase the ISO, it will be quite grainy...unless u don't mind it..not to mention that flash is not allowed...

nowadays, a 350D is also quite cheap...buy a fast lens, 1.4 or 1.8 and u are okay.

Actually the camera I'm using now, the Fujifilm Finepix S7000, though not a professional series DSLR, took pretty good pics of the exhibits.

But I've had to really steady my body, or leand against something to keep real still, and take like 10 shots for each item before I get a good, clear shot...

Thanks adamteo, Plo.
Hmm...will need to go down to the camera shop to check these out. Got a feeling its way off my budget of less than 1k.

And fast lens of 1.4, 1.8 is for what purpose? Is it to reduce those horrible grainy pics?

hmmm....around 1k or less, you shd go down to the shop and try out the cam.

fast lens will allow you to take photos without flash in low light, without tripod.

check out www.clubsnap.org for more ideas...my nick in the forum there is dragos.

Thanks for the link. I m guessing 1.4 is faster than 1.8.
Will checkout the site.
Think my current one is only 2.5.
