SPOT THE ART OF STAR WARS TEASER POSTER CONTEST

LATEST : edited 26th October 2005

We can now confirm that ONLY 200 of the Art of Star Wars Teaser Posters were printed, and ALL 200 of them are out them somewhere , at some bus stop, all across Singapore.

Not only that, the teaser posters will ONLY be displayed for a limited period of only 2 weeks ,and once those 2 weeks are up, those posters will be gone forever. We really want to document and archive WHERE those 200 teaser posters were displayed during their limited run, and we need everyone's help, so we're upping the stakes for the SPOT THE TEASER POSTER contest .

The SPOT THE TEASER POSTER contest will now end 4th November 2005 at 11.59pm , so you've all got to work fast ! Not only that, the winner of this contest will win not only a FREE TICKET to the exhibition, but also ONE of those ultra rare Art of Star Wars Teaser poster ! Remember, there are only 200 of these in the world , and only ONE will be given away . There's only one chance to get this elusive poster, and this is it !

So remember , when you spot one of the teaser posters , take a picture of it , and post it right here in this thread, with a clear description of where exactly you spotted the poster. When you take the picture, try to include a little of the surrounding , and try to make it as recognisable as possible, because we will be verifying if that truly is the location that the teaser poster is in. If duplicate locations are posted , the fan who posted it EARLIER will get the points. On 4th November 2005 at 11.59pm, the fan who has spotted the most number of teaser posters will win a TICKET to the Art of Star Wars exhibition , PLUS one copy of that limited edition Art of Star Wars Teaser poster ! If in case there is a tie , a draw will done to determine who wins the contest.

So get out your digital cameras and camera phones and send your photos in ASAP ! Let's see how many of those great teaser posters we can spot !

Hi Dan & All

Spotted the poster at the bus-stop along Orchard Boulevard, just diagonally across the road before Orchard MRT Station exit.
But guess what, the "Art of Star Wars" words-sculpt was missing from the top, either already STOLEN or not install yet.
Will check again.
Will post a pic here when I can.

Haha .... good observation, masterjamous .... so far ALL the posters that I have seen do NOT have the 3D sculpt on top .... I have a feeling that this was probably a feature that they decided to do away with at the last minute .

Will check with Singapore Science Centre on this next week and let you all know :)

When you spot one of the teaser posters , take a picture of it , and post it here on this forum thread , with a clear description of where exactly you spotted the poster.

Eg. Orchard Boulevard bus-stop opposite Orchard MRT
When you take the picture, try to include a little of the surrounding , and try to make it as recognisable as possible, because we will be verifying if that truly is the location that the teaser poster is in.
A Negative example... there are many such bus-stops with trees and trashbins nearby

Example of a better composition with part of the Takashimaya tower block

...and if you are having problem starting the hunt, here are a couple more locations to hit:
Irwell Bank Road just before junction with River Valley Road
Havelock Road just before junction with Clemenceau Avenue

By the way, I am NOT in the contest, so whoever goes to each of the above bus-stops, snaps the pic, and posts it here first... it will still count as your entry

Best of Luck to everyone :P
