Who thinks Darth Vader was too short???

In real life, Darth Vader is 2.02 metres tall.All Stormtroopers are 1.78 metres... I myself am 1.68 metres, yet at the AOSW exhibiton, I was as tall as the actor playing Darth Vader, and taller than the TIE pilots and Stormtroopers.Wow...Someone's discovered a shrinking ray...Hahaz... (Reffering to actors here, not the models or displays...)

ermm.. there were no actors present at AOSW.

anyway, the height measurements you refer to should be in reel life, cos much as we love Star Wars, Vader et al do not exist in real life

Well.. firstly let me explain....Have you seen the sitting space in an imperial Tie fighter? Man, it is soooo small for Big built people to be in...
That's the reason Tie pilots are normally smaller... Anyone bigger will not be able to fit in... and if you watch the trilogy really closely...and replay it and pause it and study the movie... U will see that THERE are no tall or big Tie pilots inside... look closely...

So our pilots are alright!! Actually perfect sized!

And secondly... stormtroopers are not cloned from one JANGO host.. and they are actually humans!!!Humans come in all sizes. And with the end of the empire in the movie...Most of the so-call elite batches of stormies are destroyed!!! U dun remember???? Watch the Jedi again....

Leaving small pockets of stormies from different outposts all over the place... including singapore... yes... Singapore and you are so lucky to be able to see one living trooper here... Bless everyone!!!

And lastly... don't you know vader is already gone?? Kill in Jedi too??? Just like Elvis!! Gone!!! Yes... sorry to break your heart... and the vader you see in Aosw is actually someone who is so kind and brave enough to be wearing a "dead "man clothes and so hot armour to entertain everyone in so hot singapore... fans or not fans. Sorry I had to be the one to break the bad news to you... yes.. the real vader was killed... by the emperor...long long ago in a galaxy far far away....

Most costumers u saw at AoSW are SW FANS, not hired actors.

So why give a damn on whether a fan is tall, short, skinny, plump, pretty or ugly, as long as every fans enjoyed themselves in dressing up in a character they liked.

I agree, being passionate about the character is more important.

Having said that, I take the comment not as a criticism but rather an off-comment with no intention whatsoever.

No worries... We are fans who had taken our love for Star Wars a little further by acquiring costumes that look good and fit our respective shapes and sizes... It's no different from people who try to dress like some singers or movie stars... or souped up their vehicles to look like some fierce race cars... or be hardcore fans of some soccer team without earning anything from their wins... etc...

It's a passion... and we've been bringing alot of joy to the younger generation...

Continue to kick ass, troopers... it's easier when you are shorter...

And in the last SW charity sales in CSC, I overheard a couple of people comment about my Jedi character "Is he from X-men?" and another "The monk from the Da Vinci Code?..".... and "stay away from him, he could be a flasher!".
